Therefore the process of adding chemicals is constantly eating away at the surface, proving the more chemicals you add the sooner the pool needs to be resurfaced.

The gel coat finish enables the pools to be stain resistant, therefore less chemicals are needed and makes cleaning the pool much easier and cheaper. A concrete surface alters the waters chemical balance which uses more acid and chlorine to counter balance the chemical reaction.
